TRAINING AT YEW TREE COMMUNITY SCHOOL
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
Yew Tree Community School has a moral purpose to delivering training. By supporting teachers and leaders we hope we can play our part in improving educational opportunities for children beyond our own school. Fees to attend our training are kept to a minimum. The fees cover administration costs, refreshments/lunch and cover costs to release leaders.
1.1 We strongly advise you to read and fully understand these terms and conditions prior to registering for a training session. These terms and conditions apply to any training registration made with Yew Tree Community School.
1.2 The majority of our communication with delegates will be via written electronic communication. You must therefore supply a valid and functioning email address when requesting delegate places at our training. If you have failed to provide a valid and functioning email address, we reserve the right to reject any order or booking.
2. YOUR STATUS
2.1 By booking on a training session, you warrant that:
(a) You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and requesting an invoice on behalf of an organisation
(b) you are at least 18 years old.
3.2 Your cancellation and refund will only be confirmed when you have received a return email stating that your cancellation request was received. Refunds will be made within 28 days of cancellation being received.
3.3 Where you cancel any booking, we reserve the right to charge you a fee of £20.00 per booking in order to cover our administration costs.
3.4 If you cancel within 7 days before the training takes place you will be required to pay the full training delegate fee.
4. CONTRACT FORMATION
4.1 Registering for training at/with Yew Tree Community School is taken as an offer to purchase from Yew Tree Community School at the training specified.
4.2 When you register for training at/with Yew Tree Community School, that order or booking is only accepted when you receive a confirmation email from Yew Tree Community School that your order has been received. Until you have received a confirmation email, there is no binding contract between you and Yew Tree Community School.
5.1 After you have registered for training at/with Yew Tree Community School an invoice will be sent out to you with confirmation of your booking. You are committed to making this payment within 28 days.
6. TRANSFERRING BOOKINGS
6.1 Places booked may be transferred to another member of staff at the same organisation at no cost up.
7. DIETRY REQUIREMENTS
7.1 We cannot guarantee that it will always be possible to meet all dietary requirements. However, we will do our best to meet any dietary or special requirements that are stated at the time of booking and we will inform you via email if it is not possible to meet your needs.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
8.1 You are responsible for checking that the details of any booking that you place at/with Yew Tree Community School is correct prior to registering for training. Yew Tree Community School is not liable for any losses that you may incur as a result of your failure to check that the details of your order were correct at the time that you registered to attend.
8.3 Yew Tree Community School will not be liable for any costs or expenses in connection with transport or accommodation which you incur in connection with any training booking and which you are unable to recover as a result of that training being cancelled or delayed due to events or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
9. RIGHT OF ADMISSION RESERVED
9.1 Yew Tree Community School reserves the right to refuse admission to a training event at our discretion. Yew Tree Community School only accepts booking for teachers/staff working in schools..
9.2 Yew Tree Community School reserves the right to remove a delegate during a training event if we feel that the delegate is not behaving in a manner that is conducive to a learning environment. Removal is at the discretion of the lead presenter. Reasons may include, but are not limited to; a delegate disrupting the learning of others, a delegate distracting the speaker, a delegate being continually negative about the training, a delegate being unwilling to participate properly in the training.
10. EVENTS BEYOND OUR CONTROL
10.1 In the event of circumstances beyond our control, Yew Tree Community School reserves the right to amend or cancel any training event. We will not be liable for any failure to perform, or any delay in the performance of, our obligations under these terms and conditions where such failure is caused by events or circumstances which are beyond our reasonable control.
11. DATA PROTECTION
11.1. We will not pass your contact details to any third parties except where required to do so by law, or where otherwise reasonably required by third parties involved in staging a conference you are attending, provided that those third parties agree to keep such details confidential.
12. GOVERNING LAW AND CURRENCY
12.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
12.2 All training bookings will be charged in UK pounds.
13. OUR RIGHT TO VARY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
13.1 We have the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time. Any amendment will only apply to any bookings completed after an amendment has occurred.
13.2 You will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time that you order products from us, unless any change to those policies or these terms and conditions is required to be made by law or governmental authority.
