Yew Tree is a vibrant and caring school situated in Aston close to the Witton Road, where children are taught to respect and value each other, and themselves.

Our school aims to inspire a passion for learning and success in all that we do, and together with parents and carers, each child is encouraged to follow this principle. We believe that to prepare children for the future, they are entitled to the best standards in education, combined with excellent pastoral care to ensure that all children fulfil their potential. By the end of Year 6, our children are well-prepared for the opportunities and challenges they will face in secondary school and beyond.

Our broad and balanced curriculum is creative, fun and challenging. We are passionate about giving our children experiences that widen their understanding of the world around them, both in school and outside. We offer a range of educational experiences, visitors to school and enrichment through music, sport, art, music, gardening and dance. Outside of school, our children have access to a variety of educational visits which develop their learning and understanding of the curriculum.  We do not request contributions for educational visits as we believe all children should have access to these valuable experiences.

We have very high expectations for all our pupils irrespective of their starting points, and our dedicated and hardworking staff are fully committed to giving our children the opportunities they deserve. All our staff are very proud of working in such a nurturing and inclusive school.
